oliver twist is a realistic novel written by charles dickens. the novel is set in foggy london in the 19th century and tells the story of olivers life experience and growth. at the same time, as an example of social novels, it reveals other real social problems in the 19th century, such as child labor, juvenile delinquency and so on.

there is a plot in the article that makes people feel deeply. oliver is taken to the gathering place of thieves. the men who dominate the group praise the death penalty in front of expensive watches and jewelry. it seems hard to understand why the lawbreakers are not afraid of death penalty. this is related to the defects of the law at that time. confession can not change the fate of being hanged, so the criminals who go to the execution ground will not choose to let the truth as a result, these young people are free from slavery.

oliver, the protagonist in the novel, was originally a simple teenager, because he had to mix with a group of juvenile delinquents for survival. regardless of the later turning point of the novel, if oliver had been living with this group of people and learning their "technology"， his life would surely go dark. although these are related to the complex background of london in the 19th century, we should still be vigilant that similar phenomena still exist in our society.

回顾几年来的教学之路，心中充满了许多感慨和无奈，一方面想尽己之所能，教好学生，不留遗憾；一方面却不能摆脱来自分数至上的压力。如何平衡这现实的矛盾，着实令人费周章，看了《小学英语教与学》之后，似乎找到了一些解决的方法。

一、教师必须明确小学英语的教学目的和基本要求

小学英语应符合儿童生理和心理发展的实际，通过听、说、认、读、唱歌、游戏、表演、画画等活动，激发和培养学生对英语学习的兴趣和对语言的敏感性，使学生养成良好的语言学习习惯，初步形成较好的语音、语调基础，并使其具备用所学英语进行简单交际的初级能力。同时在教学过程中，努力开发学生的学习智力，发展他们的思维能力、想象能力和创造能力，为学生进一步的英语学习打好基础。

二、在教学时，要重兴趣、成就感、自信心的培养

托尔斯泰说过：“成功的教学所需要的不是强制，而是激发学生的兴趣。”小学英语教学应采取一切可用的方法，激发学生对英语学习的强烈愿望，使他们爱学、乐学，而学习兴趣的保持又在很大程度上取决于学习的效果，取决于他们能否获得成就感，能否树立自信心。因此，教师要对学生多做激励，使学生体验到成功的喜悦，并逐步树立他们的学习信心。

三、课堂教学，实际生活密切相关

?英语课程标准》要求教师“创造性地设计贴近学生实际的教学活动”，吸引和组织他们积极参与，要能够使学生获取处理和使用信息、用英语与他人交流，用英语解决实际能力。只有接近生活的，真实的，复杂的活动才能整合多重的内容和技能。这将有助于学生用真实的方式来应用所学的知识。课堂教学向课外体验延伸，教师可设立交际任务。把课内的虚拟情景放到课外的真实体验中，以分组合作的形式，安排学生按英文购物单到超市完成采购任务，使学生充分体验英语交际所带来的成功感。

总之，书中阐述了很多教与学的方法，我觉得对于我的英语教学来说是非常有益的，在以后的生活中应该多多阅读与参考此类书籍。

her novels all described the lifestyle and social communications of families in the countries of england as what she is familiar with. the book pride and prejudice is the typical one that fully expressed jane’s view on marriage and emphasized that the benefit on economic exerts a great influence on marriage.

the characters in the novel all had their own opinions on marriage. mrs. bennet, for instance, has only one aim-that of finding a good match for each of her five daughters.

as for elizabeth, who is the second daughter in the bennet family said that only deep love would persuade her to marry which was why she would probably end up an old maid. lydia and charlotte, however, were two extremes. the former just married for sex, while the latter married for a comfortable home and protection.

there are just so many different characters that were all formed under the society of england in 18’s century. then, there was filled with unfairness between men and women. just as what jane austen said,”it is a truth universally knowledge, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. ”

the protagonist of this book is a poor orphan. his name is oliver. his mother died as soon as he was born, so he was taken to the orphanage. but that orphanage is not a good place, because the director there is very bad to the orphans, the orphans hate him. the supervisor also apprenticed olivier to the coffin shop. in the coffin shop, olifi was abused, so he fled to london. as a result, he was brought into the den by the thief "smart ghost" and was forced to embark on the ship. fortunately, with the help of mr. brownlow and miss ruth, olife successfully escaped from fagin and others, and let the police turn over the den. menx also tells about the life experience of olifi: menx and olifi are actually half brothers. however, olifis father had passed away, and his property was divided between his two sons. since then, olivier has lived with mr. brownlow······

i was very favor of a section of music in its balls. it’s pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. regarding to the characters, i liked elizabeth, the he-ro-in-e,though i didn’t think she’s beautiful. but she’s smart.

however, i didn’t pay much attention to the plot. i thought it’s so long that it made me impatient and bored. by now, i haven’t read the whole story in english or its chinese version, either. i owe it to my prejudice. in fact, i didn’t understand the story at that time. i didn’t know why it called pride and prejudice. of course someone was pride, but i didn’t find where’ s the prejudice. i thought it’s normal, the way people treated each other in that. i considered prejudice would be very disgusting. but to the movie everthing was ok in my minds, except its length. now, i think i have understood more about it.

i’m a prejudiced person so i can’t find where’s wrong.

i merely like to do the things i like. everytime i meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time.
